Banff Bound

dtan 04/14/2006 - 10:45

As a sort of pre-honeymoon, graduation celebration, "while we're still in Canada" mishmash, the wife and I have decided to go off to the Rockies. Our options were to either rent a car and drive from Vancouver, take a train or fly into Calgary before renting a car and cruising around the Banff area. We opted for door number 3, as it's the least amount of work and flights aren't too expensive. . .

Without too much research, here is what we came up with. WestJet was the cheapest flight, offering a seat sale of $71 each way per person. Of course taxes and fees tack on another 50% or so, but not too bad of a deal.

It's alive!

Well after some scary downtime, my blog is back up. Bigger, better, shinier and it smells a whole lot nicer too. Go ahead, take a sniff. Seems to appear ok in FF 1.5.01 and IE6, but let me know if anything comes up.

The move was rather interesting to say the least. I ended up moving to a new account on CPanel and in doing so, managed to export the DB in the wrong format. So I lost most of the Japanese I had on the site. Meh. Managed to scavenge a few things from google's cache and dumped them over at jccafe, where they rightly belong anyways. Also gone are the image nodes, as Flickr makes things easy enough and I don't think we'll be uploading too many pics.

The Big Day

Tomorrow's the big day! I'm getting married! Half the people I have told probably think I'm nuts, but nothing in my life has ever felt so natural. Here's to the next chapter that is the rest of our lives. . .

Speak of the . . .

About 10 mins after I finished writing, my recruiter calls. Apparently I did well enough. I received offers from both product groups I interviewed with! Now is the tough decision of which to start my career with. :D
